Still Life - Cutlery
I have decided for the next couple of weeks to concentrate on experimenting with still life. So today I threw down some cutlery, took a couple of pics and had a go at making it interesting:

Happy Valentine's Day
I went to the Royal Wisley Gardens last week to see the butterflies in the Glasshouse. However it was a miserable day and because of this the butterflies were not opening their wings and I think, being towards the end of the attraction, the butterflies were quite sparse.
Anyhow, I got my reward because while photographing flowers in the other part of the glasshouse, two little robins who had got themselves into the glasshouse came out of the foliage and sat and watched me. So here is one of them. I added a bit of a Valentine's twist to the picture and even his breast seems to have a heart shape to it! Isn't he lovely.

Photo Art Friday Challenge
Well, I am always up for a challenge and thought I would give the Photo Art Friday a go because the texture is not one I would tend to use.
Here is the criteria I adhered to:
Here is my original photo:
Here is the result:
And here are all the layers:
With the hue/satuation layer, I switched on colorize and turned it a brown colour. The coloured cut-outs on top have varying opacities. The pdpa Brown Rice Paper texture has a Linear Light blend and the pdp Dropped Petal texture has an Overlay blend.
Here is the criteria I adhered to:
- Use of the pdpa dropped petals texture
- Use of another texture in this case pdpa brown rice paper
- Collage/abstract
- Use of my own pics
